BALLY TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCESAPPOINTMENT OF MARCO HERRERAAS VP AND MANAGING DIRECTOROF FRENCH-BASED MCC SYSTEMS DIVISION
LAS VEGAS, Sept. 28, 2006 – Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI), a leader in slots, video machines and casino management systems for the global gaming industry, announced today the appointment of Marco Herrera as Vice President and Managing Director of Bally’s MCC systems division based in Nice, France.
Herrera, who will report to Ramesh Srinivasan, Executive Vice President of Bally’s systems division, brings more than 20 years of experience as a leader in the Computer Science and Information Technology industry. His career started as a video game designer and software developer for Westwood Associates, where he leveraged Nintendo and Sega technology and worked with industry giants such as Atari Games before becoming the Director of Cartridge Development. He then became a lead software developer at Lockheed Environmental Sciences, developing state-of-the-art statistical software for government agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency.
Herrera graduated from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas with High Distinction, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Minor in Mathematics. Herrera is also trilingual in Spanish, French and English.
As the owner of his own company — Elegant Software — he helped design, among other projects, the Imagineering Keno System still in use today at many casinos, including the Las Vegas Hilton. In 1994 Herrera joined Camco, Inc. as Chief Information Officer and launched the software development team that created the company’s proprietary point-of-sale software that significantly impacted the industry. This software allowed Camco’s operations to become one of eBay’s top sellers and received accolades from eBay® and Microsoft® in published case studies. After the sale of Camco’s operations in December of 2004, Herrera was appointed Chief Technology Officer of ztradingindustries™.

Fiorucci, formerly MCC’s Managing Director, is expected to transition into a consulting role beginning October 2006.
